I have had a stone wall saved to my Pinterest dream board for what feels like forever.
I love the texture and visual interest it can add to a room.
And lucky for me, I have a DIY husband that agreed to add “masonry” to his resume 😊.
CSI – All Things Stone was kind enough to gift us a pallet of stone so we could make our DIY Bathroom dreams come true.
We used the style: Random Height Tumbled in the color Chateau Bay by ThinCutâ„¢ Natural Stone.
When we decided to give our bathroom a facelift, I knew I wanted something timeless yet stylish, and that’s exactly what Random Height Tumbled from ThinCutâ„¢ Natural Stone Veneer delivered! This beautiful stone features softened edges and muted colors thanks to a special tumbling process that gives it an aged, classic look. It feels so upscale, yet still cozy and approachable—the perfect balance!Â
We chose the Chateau Bay color, which blends cool, warm grays with lighter blue-gray tones of two other stones from the product line. It creates this stunning mix that pairs perfectly with my DIY vision. Whether you’re updating your bathroom, sprucing up your outdoor space, or tackling a big commercial project, this stone is a fantastic choice for a high-end yet timeless look. I couldn’t be happier with how it transformed our space!
The process was quite straight forward and CSI All Things Stone‘s website makes things extremely easy as they include installation guidelines. Perfect for anyone wanting to tackle this project themselves!
For reference, here was our “Before”:
We tore out absolutely everything in the bathroom.
The tile flooring, previous cabinets, shower, bathtub… everything.
And after everything was removed and our blank slate was established, we then had to “Tetris” (so to speak) different projects together playing with the little time that we had.
The stone wall ended up being the final project (minus a few little minor “to-do’s” that remain) but I can’t believe how stunning it turned out.

This bathroom has taken a year to come together due to so many different reasons; finding out we were pregnant, calving season, hay season, birth, you name it…
But the finished product has been worth the wait.
